Captain, Army Washington National Guard
Ben has 20 years of military experience, with the majority serving as 11B. He has one combat deployment during OIF II, and is currently a Captain in the Washington Army National Guard and a Team Leader/OIC at the United States Army Physical Fitness School satellite MFT program in Yakima. He is one of the few Master Fitness Trainer Instructors in the country and 1 of only 2 MFTC-I in Washington State validated to train the new Army Combat Fitness test. Ben has been a nurse for 12 years, working in the ICU, ER and Heart Cath Lab. He owns OPEX Wenatchee with his wife Kelsey; together, they have 5 children, two dogs and a sick sense of humor.

Kelsey is a Firefighter/EMT for Chelan County Fire District 1 and has owned been a Professional Coach for more than 9 years. First-hand experience in the field, combined with an extensive training background and a passion for health and wellness led to the creation of The Occupational Athlete and undertaking the mission to improve the quality of life experienced by First Responders. Her background in Coaching Development, Olympic Lifting and Nutrition help to round out the OPEX Wenatchee Programming. 5 Kids, pets and an active life keep her and Ben busy, healthy and happy!
